Katherine Johnson

Johnson was a part of a group of women that solved math equations for engineers at NACA, they were known as Computers. Johnson used her mathematical skills to calculate the route for space ships. For example her math contribution helped NASA in the moon landing and helped path the flight for Freedom 1. Johnson helped pave the way for women in the workforce and even won the presidential medal of freedom in 2015.
